------Mad F/X now supports DirectX 9.0 - Feb 25, 2003 | 12:00 p.m. EST - by Scott Bean
We have officially made the jump to fully support DirectX 9.0 in version 1.070 and higher of Mad F/X. This release works great with all ATI Radeon 8000/9000 series and NVidia GeForce 3/4/FX (not MX) series cards.

With this new release, we added some key optimizations which yield up to 40% increase in speeds. This was done by adding a very efficient state management system to our MAD-Engine, and also adding a dynamic vertex caching algorithm. You will see these performance increases when viewing objects consisting of very large amounts of polygons and a dramatic increase in speed for scenes with very large amounts of seperate objects.

We have also released a new D3D (.X) import plugin which can be found here.
